Throughout all the different versions of myself I have ever been, all the hobbies & interests I have taken up, my love of stories is the one thing that has always stayed with me.

If you're like me, and you take the meanings of words to heart, you already know the effect a story can have.  Stories offer a sense of guidance and belonging, as well as, challenging and learning.  They put tools in your toolbox to navigate what's to come.  They push the limits of your empathy, and provide a place to extinguish the stale emotions we carry.  And ultimately, they help make sense out of the chaos of living.  Humans and stories are a pair.

The stories we carry close to our heart shape the person we will be.

I believe that it is vitally important to find your stories, so start looking!

I would love to help.

It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.
― Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

People think that stories are shaped by people. In fact, it's the other way around.

Where It All Began

We who make stories know that we tell lies for a living. But they are good lies that say true things, and we owe it to our readers to build them as best we can. Because somewhere out there is someone who needs that story. Someone who will grow up with a different landscape, who without that story will be a different person. And who with that story may have hope, or wisdom, or kindness, or comfort. And that is why we write.
Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book

"But some stories, small, simple ones about setting out on adventures or people doing wonders, tales of miracles and monsters, have outlasted all the people who told them, and some of them have outlasted the lands in which they were created.

There's always a story. It's all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything's got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.

There have been great societies that did not use the wheel, but there have been no societies that did not tell stories.
